Your mission is to manage for the Atlas Copco Group an agile network of business partners and agreements in the commodity of travel and implement Vendor agreements in all Atlas Copco Group entities globally. 

The role is hosted by Compressor Technique, but the scope is for all entities within Atlas Copco Group, across all business areas and all Atlas Copco Group entities worldwide. You will contribute to the group targets by developing and implementing a global sourcing travel program to support the implementation of the Group travel policy. You need to work in close contact with Global Travel Policy Manager and CT Regional Category Managers and Divisional / Local procurement teams.

Within the travel program are the following categories: 

  • Travel management companies (TMC)
  • Airlines
  • Hotels
  • Rental Cars
  •  Railway companies 
  • Corporate cards
  • Meetings and Events
  • Ground Transportation

More specific your tasks and responsibilities are: Sourcing, Negotiations and Business Partnering (Supplier and Internal Stakeholder (only related with sourcing activities).

  • Establish critical supplier and partnership contracts. Be single point of contact for the external stakeholders.
  • Select preferred partners and negotiate contracts with global / regional coverage (Global Framework Agreements = GFA) for the group 
  • Implement long term strategy , Market Knowledge for the Group and manage service level follow ups with suppliers.
  • Train TMC and support Global Travel Policy Manager to do local implementation of mandatory Travel Policy 
  • Deploy performance management tools and techniques to create a continuous improvement culture in Travel Category Sourcing projects.
  • Implement a transparent travel spend reporting via using different platforms (concur, Act, Esker etc.) 
  • Follow up the real usage of the travel program and deal with cost leakages and nonconformities.
  • Drive purchase conditions that minimize the total cost of ownership and that maximize the value for Atlas Copco Group and our employees. 


Financial: best rates, promotions, bonusses, rebates, long payment terms, soft benefits.

Non-financial: high service, user satisfaction, quality, availability of reporting, etc.


  • Work to improve suppliers reporting of spend, avoid spend, savings, travel patterns.
  • Lead periodical supplier evaluations and business review meetings with the suppliers and CT Regional Category Managers


Some international travel is part of the job. 

You will make sure that there is a good communication structure with all levels in the organization and with regular meetings, contacts and reports which are well documented.


Profile of the candidate:

  • Solid experience in strategic sourcing and in establishing and concluding long-term supply agreements with vendors is a must
  • Experience/knowledge of international travel category management is a plus.
  • University/master’s degree in business, economics, finance, purchasing, or equivalent.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with external suppliers
  • Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, combined with strong analytical skills and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communications skills, which have an impact on others.
