Director of Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 18 years of experience in software engineering and management.
• 8 years of experience in people management, growing teams.
• Experience working in developer and/or user-facing products.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 25 years of relevant experience.
• Experience building and leading diverse teams, incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies into team’s day-to-day work.
• Strong technical knowledge of wireless networking technologies, such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
• Understanding of complex device ecosystems, e.g., Android.
• Comfortable navigating technical and product issues around privacy and security.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the whole team; Design, build, and deliver the core framework and capabilities that enable rich multi-device experiences across the company ecosystem, laying the groundwork for ambient computing.
• Be responsible for key components and company goals of top-level, multi-device platforms and erviroment..
• Collaborate with critical company partners, including OEMs, chipset vendors, peripheral makers, and app developers.
